You can follow the steps below to set up your email account as IMAP on Mozilla Thunderbird.

  1. Open the Thunderbird application.
    • If you are opening your Thunderbird program for the first time, click on the E-mail link under the Open a new account heading in the Accounts section .
    • To set up another account in Thunderbird, you can follow the path Tools > Account Settings > Account Operations > Add mail account .
  2. Through the Mail Account Setup window;
    • Your Name: Enter the name you would like to appear in your e-mails.
    • E-Mail Address: Enter the e-mail address to be installed.
    • Password: Enter the password of the account to be set up.
  3. Click on the Next button.
  4. In the authentication window, re-enter your username and password . Check the Use password manager to remember this password field and click the OK button.
  5. If your AutoConfig settings are defined on your DNS records, your account setup process ends in this step.
  6. If your AutoConfig settings are not defined on your DNS records, click the Manual Configure button on the Mail Account Setup window .
  7. Select IMAP for the incoming section , then make the following definitions.
    • Server Address: proxy.uzmanposta.com
    • Port: 143
    • SSL: STARTTLS
    • Authorization: Normal Password
  8. Make the following definitions in the Outgoing SMTP section.
    • Server Address: Please enter proxy.uzmanposta.com .
    • Port: 587
    • SSL: STARTTLS
    • Authorization: Normal Password
  9. To set up your account with an SSL certificate, you can make the following definitions.
    • Select IMAP for the incoming section , then make the following definitions.
      • Server Address: proxy.uzmanposta.com
      • Port: 993
      • SSL: SSL/TLS
      • Authorization: Normal Password
    • Make the following definitions in the Outgoing SMTP section.
      • Server Address: proxy.uzmanposta.com
      • Port: 465
      • SSL: SSL/TLS
      • Authorization: Normal Password
  10. User Name; Enter the e-mail address to be set up in the Incoming and Outgoing sections.
  11. You can check the accuracy of your account settings by clicking the Test Again button.
  12. After the testing process is completed, you can complete the installation process by clicking the Finish button.
