Mac Mail IMAP Account Setup

You can follow the steps below to set up your email account as IMAP on the Mac Mail application.

1. Click on the System Preferences option in the menu content .
2. On the System Preferences page, click on Internet Accounts .
3. Click on the Add Another Mail Account option from the options on the Internet Accounts page .
4. Select the Add a Mail Account option and then click the Create button.
5. Please fill in the requested information as follows.
   • Full Name: Enter the name you would like to appear in your emails.
   • E-Mail Address: Enter the e-mail address to be installed.
   • Password: Enter your e-mail password.
6. Click on the Create button to continue.
7. On the Incoming Mail Server Information page, fill in the relevant fields as follows.
   • Account type: IMAP
   • Mail Server: proxy.uzmanposta.com
   • Username: Enter your username for your e-mail account.
   • Password: Enter your e-mail password.
8. Continue by pressing the Next i button.
9. On the Outgoing Mail Server Information page, fill in the relevant fields as follows.
   • Mail Server: proxy.uzmanposta.com
   • Username: Enter your username for your e-mail account.
   • Password: Enter your e-mail password.
10. Click the Create button to complete the installation process.

To set up your account as SSL ;

1. If you want to configure your account securely (SSL-TLS), click on the Preferences menu of your e-mail program.
2. In the window that appears, click on the Accounts > Advanced tab.
3. To use it as SSL, type 993 in the Port Number section and activate the Use SSL option .
4. Click the Account Information tab, click the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) field, and then click Edit SMTP Server List… from the drop-down menu .
5. Click on the Advanced tab and enable the Automatically Detect and Maintain Account Settings feature.
   • Select the Password option from the Authentication section.
   • Leave the Allow insecure authentication option disabled .
   • Username: Enter your username for your e-mail account.
   • Password: Enter your e-mail password.
6. Click the OK button to close the active window.
7. Then, complete your installation process by clicking the Save button in the confirmation window that the system will present.
